For quite some time I have had a problem getting my Philips VOIP321 Phone to work with Skype on Windows 7.  Up to this point the only solution was using the phone with Windows XP.  However, recently I was successful in making the Skype Phone work successfully with WIN 7.  Below you will find steps to help you set up your Philips VOIP321 with WIN 7.

  1. Make sure you are starting from scratch!  If you have already installed the VOIP321 software, uninstall it and restart the computer.
  2. Download the updated Philips Driver for Windows Vista (voip3211g_37_dwv_eng)
  3. Install the downloaded software (voip3211g…)
  4. After Installation….
  5. Right-click on the VOIP321 icon on the desktop
  6. Select “Properties”
  7. Click on the “Compatibility” tab
  8. Check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” box
  9. Select “Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)”
  10. Restart the computer

That’s it!

In the past you had to use the older version of skype, that is on the CD with the Philips phone, but I belive that has changed. I will try it with the newest version of Skype and let you know if it works.

My phone was working perfectly until I downloaded latest Skype 4.2 now my contacts are all still on the phone but not connecting with Skype. Is there a solution?

    Hi guys,

Sorry I have not gotten back to you, but I gave the skype phone away. I was hoping to have access to it earlier this month but did not get a chance. I am supposed to have access to it in a few weeks and will let you know what i find out.
